About Me
I am a committed, quietly confident Graduate Industrial Designer.
I am interested in the technical aspects of products, what they need to do, how they need to perform and ultimately how best to realise that whilst still achieving a positive aesthetic appeal. I have a broad interest and ability therefore am happy dealing with detailed design and manufacturing considerations as I am with the general conceptualisation. I have further multidisciplinary ability within graphic design, photography and model making. My keen eye for detail and perfection drives my ambition where only the best is good enough.
Throughout University I completed many projects to explore aspects of design and engineering. The Shell Eco Marathon Car is a voluntary project which I enjoyed and learned many new skills including clay modelling, moulding and casting. The team which I was proud to be part of also gained a university record.

Having completing my University Placement at Triton Showers based in Nuneaton. My role was to Photograph spare parts, edit the protographs so they are suitable for the website. As I was also based within the R&D department I also helped where needed to model components, render images and help develop new concepts some to be released very soon others have already been released.
I also previously worked in store for the well-known home improvement store; Homebase. I was employed throughout the store as a Showroom Advisor as well as training to become a supervisor. My role consists of taking Kitchen and Bathroom leads, helping customers, and making sales. I also assist in controlling POS and maintaining store standards including pricing, ordering stock and layouts. Most recently I re-merchandised the Flooring and Tiling section.

I was then fortunate to gain a new position as Design Planner at the Homebase Head Office. I was responsible for managing the design development process of new design concepts of store fixtures. This included design intent, preparation of cost assessment, and documentation of the new fixtures. I was also responsible for the production of engineering drawings of legacy fixtures in stores.
Outside of work, I volunteer as an Assistant Explorer Scout Leader and Group Admin, I work closely with another assistant to run the group of around 30 teenagers.
Scouting was a major part in helping me gain my Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. I will also now be running the DofE award with my Explorer Scouts.
